Prophetic discussion of online news – in 1981

I guess the future is now. As the NY Times noted, the most interesting comment in this footage comes when the San Francisco Chronicle editor says, “We’re not in it to make money.”

Newspapers still aren’t making money in it. At least not enough. Creating a new business model is the real challenge.

  1. How did you find that, that sounds interesting. I never knew you could read the news paper on your home computer. LOL! i like the one guys title under his name. Owns a home computer. I betcha he felt important after seeing that. oh how smart we have become!
